Chinese Speeches

Chinese Speeches

We have been writing and learning our Chinese speeches. I have been surprised at how well the children cope with these as I personally find the Chinese language difficult to learn.
We decided to record our speeches on the laptops while showing the assessment scores at the same time, partly to avoid having individual children on YouTube clips.

States of Matter

States of Matter Unit

The children really enjoyed this unit as it was very hands-on involving experiments, market day creations and the ability to present what they have learnt in different ways.
Fun for me as well!

Termly Planning

This is a copy of my Term 3 long term plan for writing. I like to do this for writing, reading and maths as it focuses my weekly planning. The plans do often change over the term as things crop up but it is a good base to work from.

Pepeha

Room 10 have been writing and learning our pepehas. For some children this has been easy with good support from home. For others, we really focused on the structure of the pepeha and what it actually means. I thought it was important for me share my own with the class, both to provide a guide for others and promote the importance of it.
